Assessment Scenarios
I design scenario-based and simulated learning experiences that allow learners to practise complex tasks, make decisions and experience realistic consequences within a safe environment.
For Network Rail, I designed 18 interactive scenarios covering 650V electrical isolations for development in Articulate Storyline. Learners are presented with realistic situations and schematic diagrams, which they use to navigate to the correct location, complete the isolation and test the system to confirm it is safe. The scenarios provide both risk-free practice and formal assessment without requiring learners to work on live equipment.
For the Royal Navy, I designed a series of VR fault-diagnosis scenarios. Learners are presented with the symptoms of a technical fault and must navigate different areas of a virtual ship, investigate the available evidence and determine the underlying cause. This approach develops diagnostic thinking and decision-making through realistic, immersive practice.
